Mapping update of UK fire and rescue service response

24 June 2016

The update for geographically mapping fire and rescue service response times throughout the UK is now complete and includes the latest and most sophisticated traffic modelling data-set available.

The software has been funded by RISCAuthority, the UK's commercial property insurance research body, in co-operation with all of the UK fire and rescue services to accurately describe:

  • Fire authority policy on automatically generated fire alarm signals
  • 2015 fire and rescue service station, crewing and appliance provision
  • Impact on arrival times using new state-of-the-art traffic modelling

This information is proving immensely powerful in helping businesses understand local fire and rescue service provision and determine the levels of protection they may need to invest in to be more resilient in business critical functions.

The toolkit is restricted to member insurers, fire and rescue services and other key industry stakeholders only.  To access, log-in to the RISCAuthority website and navigate to Insurer Resources > Insurer Toolkits and enter the seperate username/password.
